Our Story

Founded in faith, rooted in the spirit of Nazareth.

Inspired by the humble and hidden life of Jesus in Nazareth, the Little Sisters of Christ (LSC) live a mission of silent witness, prayer, and service. We believe that God calls us to proclaim the Gospel not through many words, but through a life shaped by exemplary virtue, simplicity, humility, and love.

Our spiritual journey is deeply guided by the words of our patron, St. Charles De Foucauld, whose profound devotion continues to illuminate our path:

“I feel compelled to embrace the hidden life of the poor, humble labourer of Jesus of Nazareth, rather than the public life of proclaiming the Gospel.”

Our Charism

Serving Christ in the poor, the abandoned, and the suffering

Serving Christ in the poor, the abandoned, and the suffering.
At the heart of the Little Sisters of Christ is the charism of compassionate service, rooted in the hidden life of Jesus at Nazareth. Following His example, we extend our care with humility and love—especially to those who are lonely, aged, infirm, or forgotten by society.

This spirit of silent, selfless service gave rise to Nazreth Shushroosha Bhavan, a home dedicated to offering dignity, comfort, and loving care to elderly and infirm women.
